There is one more area I'd like to nurse in and that would be with the homeless.
What part of the country do work from?
Thank you for the invite!!!
I'm a visiting nurse. Lots of good stories and some gripes.
Getting ready to retire and scared about who will replace those of us in my age group.
I love to be a preceptor and if new nurses are looking for answers let me know.
Having worked in community for 17 years I've learned to be quite inventive, and critical thinking is a way of life.
I come from the days of caps and ribbons where your status was obvious to all. In LTC it's hard for residents and family to know who the registered staff are. I'v designed a uniform coverup with registration insignia on the sleeve. Many have said they like to know they're talking to a nurse and not the cleaning staff. ID tags are sometimes hard to find or read.

I'm proud to be a Registered Nurse and I miss my cap.
